Republican Senator Questions Trump's Stability

Another Republican senator is openly questioning President Trump's ability to lead the nation. Tennessee's Sen. Bob Corker said Thursday that Trump "has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful," NPR reports. With his response to the Charlottesville violence, Corker said, Trump has "not demonstrated that he understands what has made this nation great and what it is today." 

Corker, the influential chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called for "radical change" at the White House, reports the Tennessean. Trump needs to do some "self-reflection" and "take stock of the role he plays in our nation and move beyond himself," said Corker. His remarks were his strongest criticism yet of Trump, whose Charlottesville response was also criticized by Sens. Marco Rubio, Jeff Flake, and John McCain.
