Plastics are here, there and everywhere it seems. Scientists says that microplastics, too small for the human eye to see, have been found in rain, in the state of Colorado. A referenced Austrian study in UPI's article below, suggests that U. S. tap water contains approximately 5 plastic microfibers per cup; it also states that microplastics are toxic to cells in the lungs, cells in the brain and could also infect the respiratory system.
