Teen Who Cleaned up After Protests Has Been Recognized

Buffalo teenager who spent 10 hours cleaning up after protests in his city following the death ofGeorge Floydat the hands of Minneapolis police. High school senior Antonio Gwynn Jr. was rewarded for his hard work with a car and a full scholarship to Medaille College. Well, it seems his selfless act has earned him another reward. Buffalo’s mayor,Byron Brownhas offered the teen a job in the city’s building department.

“I’m actually pretty excited because I didn’t have an actual plan,” Gwynn tells reporters after a ceremony recognizing him. “This is helping me put more of my life ahead.”

In addition to his new job with the city, Gwynn plans to study business at Medaille and hopes to one day own a cleaning company.
