GM's Still Set To Go - Unifor Wants It To Stay

A seemingly losing fight is still going on strong between GM and its employees over plant closures that will affect the United States and Canada's economy in major ways starting with major dollar amounts.

The Union is asking for continued manufacturing of Automobiles, while GM leaders says, it is unable to honor this request.  In a letter from Canada's President, Travis Hester and Labor Relations VP, Gerald Johnson, the requests decline was due to, "declining econimic and market factors."

                             So, right now, it is not looking good for the plants long term duration.

                 Unifor's Canadian Union President, Jerry Dias, says that he is disappointed that the plant in Oshawa is closing and is accusing the Corporation of practicing, Corporate Greed.

                         There will be close to $14,000 employees affected with these plant closings.
