We've always heard, New Yorkers take care of New Yorkers. Well this certainly seems to solidify that statement, with this endeavor, The Billion Oyster Project. It's a huge collaboration involving schools, students, restaurants, islands, scientists, oysters and their shells. Scientists are always making new discoveries and this latest one is quite impressive. Scientists have discovered a way to grow new oysters in the discarded shells and the Billion Oyster Project discovered those Oyster shells can significantly reduce the erosion of the Harbor.
