Armed Man Arrested After Threatening Staff At Germantown Clinic

A Memphis man was arrested Thursday (February 25) after reportedly threatening staff at a Germantown clinic. According to WREG, police were called to Campbell Clinic around 10:40 a.m. after an armed man allegedly stood in the clinic's entryway and threatened staff with a long gun. No shots were fired, and he fled the scene before officers arrived.

Germantown police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Cordarius Bush, of Memphis. A statement from the clinic said the incident was a "domestic, interpersonal issue," WMC 5 reports.

After searching the immediate area and getting everyone out of the clinic, police found Bush at his home in Memphis. He was arrested by Memphis Police not long after the incident in Germantown, and charges against Bush are pending.

A spokesperson for Campbell Clinic released a statement following news of Bush's arrest praising the response of police and security officers in keeping patients safe.

"We are very thankful for the quick action of our security team and the Germantown police," clinic spokesperson Irina Oller said in a statement. "We are cooperating fully with authorities to provide data, footage and any other information that can help with this investigation."

No additional details have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
