Tennessee Woman Accused Of Biting Deputy After 'Chicken Nuggets Argument'

A Tennessee woman was arrested last week and accused of assaulting her girlfriend following an argument over chicken nuggets. During her arrest, 23-year-old Lillian Barnett reportedly bit the Bedford County deputy who was taking her to jail, WKRN reports.

According to an arrest warrant, Barnett and her girlfriend, whose name has not been released, got into an argument on Fay Creek Road on March 18 that "started over chicken nuggets" but escalated when Barnett allegedly assaulted her.

A Bedford County deputy responded to the scene and arrested Barnett. When the deputy placed her in the back of their patrol vehicle, WKRN reports, Barnett began screaming and attempting to kick out the window. She is also reported to have continuously hit her head against the window while in the car.

As the deputy escorted Barnett to a cell at the Bedford County Jail, she allegedly bit the deputy on their right arm, the arrest warrant states. This was a cause of concern, according to WKRN, as Barnett has tested positive for Hepatitis C in the past.

Barnett is facing multiple charges stemming from the incident, including aggravated assault on an officer, domestic assault, and disorderly conduct. WKRN reports her initial court appearance is scheduled for March 31.
